Future Learning
Career-related learning is at the heart of everything we do, from the moment a student joins us to the day they leave to continue their educational journey. We firmly believe that every student must have the opportunity to develop not only knowledge but also essential skills to enhance their futures.
All of our progression documents have careers suggesstions and links throughout. Furthermore, to enrich a student's educational experience, we have integrated the Career Development Institute (CDI) framework for Primary Schools into our curriculum. Through this framework, we encourage students to explore six key areas of learning, empowering them to shape a future filled with excitement and fulfilment.
As the world of work continues to evolve, we acknowledge the uncertainty our students will face when they reach adulthood. Although we cannot predict the future, we are certain that the foundations we establish today will serve as their guiding compass, enabling them to navigate their own adventures confidently.

Futures Week 2025: A Celebration of STEM Innovation and Inspiration
From the 19th to the 23rd of May, our school proudly hosted a highly successful Futures Week, an exciting initiative designed to ignite students’ passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and explore future career possibilities.
Throughout the week, each year group tackled real-world challenges by designing innovative products in areas such as Bio-domes, Robotics (Prosthetics), Solar Energy, and Rollercoasters. Students delved into the science behind these fields, researched career pathways, and showcased their creativity and problem-solving skills in a thrilling Dragons' Den-style pitch.
We were also privileged to welcome inspiring guest speakers from AWE, HMS, RAF, Heckfield Farm, and the structural engineering sector, who shared their career journeys and insights into the world of STEM. A heartfelt thank you to the parents and industries who contributed their time and expertise—your involvement made a lasting impact.
Futures Week was a resounding success, leaving students inspired, empowered, and excited about the possibilities that lie ahead.
