Marnel Junior School

Safeguarding Children During the COVID 19 Pandemic

During these difficult and uncertain times it is more important than ever that we are safeguarding children and supporting those around us. Families are faced with more pressures and stressors than ever before, which can be incredibly difficult. Sometimes all that is needed is a little extra support, but we all know that asking for this can be tough.

Our staff will be undergoing regular training and updates during this time, making sure we are always up to date with the latest policies and procedures, and more importantly the children at Marnel Junior School are safe and in trusted, capable hands. We are constantly updating our policies and procedures in reposnse to the Government updates, and seeking guidance from Hampshire County Council as well as the Hampshire Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Please see below for some documents we thought you might find useful in ensuring the safety of your family and others during this time. And as always if you have ANY concerns please don't hesitate to contact the school and speak to one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSL's)

HomeSchool Link Manager:  Mrs V Dore (Lead DSL)

Acting Headteacher: Mr T Jordan (Deputy DSL)

Deputy Headteacher: Mrs L Herring (Deputy DSL)

SENCo: Mrs R Preece (Deputy DSL & Designated Teacher for LAC and PLAC)

We hope you can join us for our Macmillian Coffee Afternoon on Friday 24th September from 2:15pm.
