Jubilee Celebrations

Posted on: 27/05/2022

Dear Parents and Carers,

We are excited to share with you that on Friday 27th May 2022 we will holding a day of celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. As our two schools are beginning to work more closely together we felt like this would be an ideal platform for our first joint parent event, to support all members of our shared school community to be involved.

The joint part of our day will be a community picnic for the children, parents and families of both schools. This will be held between 12.30 – 1.30pm on the school field. Children from both schools are invited to dress in red, white and blue including face paints, hair colour and football shirts for the day.

As well as hosting a joint picnic, each school will also be inviting parents and carers into our schools for some arts and crafts activities.

· In the morning, parents and carers (younger siblings welcome) of children at Marnel Infant School are invited come in and join their child(ren) in a range of shared art and craft activities from 10.30am.

· Following the picnic, parents and carers (younger siblings welcome) of children at Marnel Junior School will then be invited in to take part in a range of art and craft activities with their child(ren) from 1.30pm.

We hope that many of you will be able to join us some part or all of the day to mark this very special landmark for our queen.

For children of the Infant School, as school dinners are free, please complete the slip below. It is not compulsory that you have a school picnic and if you would rather bring your own please indicate on the slip.

Picnic lunches will also be available for children of Marnel Junior School so please do the same, so that all lunches required are catered for.

If you have any questions at all please do contact your child’s school and we will be happy to help.
